Our Android app gives you the option to connect with the Health Connect health-tracking platform. We use this to collect and process your step count data, but we will only collect this data while we have your permission to do so. This feature can be disabled by you at any time and we will only attempt to collect new data while the app is running. Our use of the information received from Health Connect will adhere to the Health Connect by Android Permissions, including the Limited Use requirements.
Our website uses cookies or similar technology to collect information about your access to the site – some cookies expire when you close your browser and others are used to remember you when you return to the site and therefore last for longer. We keep your personal information linked to your account indefinitely if you have an active (paid) subscription to World Walking. In the event you cancel your paid subscription or are a free member, we will keep your personal data for up to 2 years after your last activity on the website (for example from the last time you added distance to a virtual walk).
If you choose to delete your account, your personal information will be automatically deleted and should be permanently erased from our database backups within a maximum of 28 days.
Anonymised data (including recorded steps) and financial information (including payments made) will be retained indefinitely. However these will not be linked to any personal information once your account is deleted.

We contract the following trusted third parties (data processors) to supply certain services in order for us to provide our services to you.
